HoYoverse isn’t slowing down after the epic Fate/Stay Night collaboration in Honkai: Star Rail’s previous update. Version 3.5, titled Before Their Deaths, launches later this month, setting the stage for something profound as the second half of the Amphoreus arc unfolds. The update will transport you a thousand years into the past while letting you return to the bar counter once more.

Honkai: Star Rail’s upcoming update picks up right where version 3.4 ended. Your vow to Phainon pulls you deeper into Styxian mythology. The new Trailblaze Mission follows you and Cyrene back in time to the ancient city of Okhema, during the reign of Imperator Cerydra. The cycle of Eternal Recurrence is perfect for those who relish cryptic prophecies and fiery confrontations.

Version 3.5 will mark the debut of both Hysilens and Cerydra as playable 5-star characters. Hysilens, a Physical Nihility unit, excels in DoT-heavy teams, shredding enemy Attack and Defense within her Zone. Meanwhile, Cerydra, Wind Harmony and true queen, is a buff-focused tactician whose allies grow stronger the longer the battle rages. Both will make valuable additions to your roster.

And if you're looking for characters you might’ve missed, Stellar Jade, Kafka, and Silver Wolf will rotate into the gacha pool throughout Version 3.5. In addition, you can explore the new Styxia, City of Infinite Revelry map, where a fierce showdown with Lygus awaits—a boss who can’t seem to settle on a single form of allegiance.
