Get ready, gamers! Delta Force, the iconic tactical FPS, is set to make a global comeback courtesy of Garena. Originally named Delta Force: Hawk Ops, the game is launching a PC Open Beta on December 5th, 2024, with the mobile version following suit in the new year. If you're wondering about the journey of Delta Force, it all started with NovaLogic before being taken over by Tencent’s TiMi Studios, the masterminds behind Call of Duty Mobile. Now, Garena is partnering with them to roll out Delta Force in various global regions.
One of the most exciting features of Delta Force is its cross-progression between PC and mobile platforms. Garena and TiMi are planning to launch the game in 2025 across Southeast Asia, Taiwan, Brazil, Central and South America, and the Middle East and North Africa. So, what exactly will Garena bring to the table with Delta Force?
What Will Garena Offer in Delta Force?
First up, we have Warfare, a mode that's perfect for those who crave epic battles. Imagine 32 versus 32 action spread across land, air, and sea. Teams are divided into squads of four operators, ensuring an intense, multi-dimensional combat experience.
Then there's Operations, which shifts the gameplay to an extraction shooter format. Here, teams of three undertake high-stakes missions, scavenging for loot, dodging enemies, and racing against time to reach an extraction point. The loot you gather can be used in future matches or exchanged for in-game currency. You can also take down opponents to seize their gear and supplies. The mode is packed with bosses, restricted areas, and special missions, adding layers of excitement to your gameplay.
Keep an eye out for the rare MandelBrick item in Operations. Snagging this unlocks exclusive skins, but be warned: your location becomes visible to all players, turning the heat up even more. Curious to see Delta Force in action? Check out the official trailer shared by Garena on YouTube.
