Monster Hunter Wilds Patch 1.000.05.00 Resolves Quest Issues, No Performance Boost Yet

Author : Gabriel Update:Mar 28,2025

Capcom has rolled out Monster Hunter Wilds hotfix 1.000.05.00 across all platforms, bringing crucial improvements and fixes to enhance the gaming experience. This update primarily focuses on eliminating various progression blockers and addressing numerous bugs, although players should note that performance enhancements are not part of this patch.

Despite its record-breaking launch, Monster Hunter Wilds currently holds a 'mixed' user review rating on Steam, largely due to ongoing performance issues on PC. Nevertheless, the game's success is undeniable, having sold an impressive 8 million copies in just three days, making it Capcom's fastest-selling game to date. It also achieved the fifth highest concurrent player count on Steam, peaking at 1,384,608, surpassing even Dota 2, Cyberpunk 2077, and Elden Ring. For comparison, Monster Hunter: World reached a peak of 334,684.

Players can look forward to a title update in early April, which will introduce a new endgame area and additional monster hunting content.
