PlayStation Announces State of Play Japan For This Week

Sony has unveiled a special State of Play Japan event set to stream online later this week.

The broadcast is scheduled for 2pm Pacific / 5pm Eastern / 10pm UK time tomorrow, November 11 — or 7am JST on November 12 for viewers in Japan.

PlayStation has confirmed the program will run for "more than 40 minutes," featuring updates on titles developed across Japan and Asia, along with several other exciting announcements.

Diverging from the standard State of Play format, this episode will feature a host — voice actor Yuki Kaji — and spotlight games currently in development within specific regions. The presentation will be conducted entirely in Japanese, though English subtitles will be provided.

What can we anticipate? Fans are hoping for more details on Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, the upcoming fighting game published by PlayStation with a 2026 release window. Initially announced in June, this collaboration between Arc System Works, Sony, and Marvel Games is currently being developed for PS5 and PC.

Will we finally get a launch date for Phantom Blade Zero? The wuxia action RPG, arriving on PC and PS5, has been highly anticipated to reveal its release plans soon. Additionally, what news awaits regarding the Horizon MMO under development at NCSoft?

Sony's previous State of Play in September 2025 showcased a gameplay trailer for Marvel's Wolverine alongside its release window, as well as an extended look and launch date for Housemarque's Saros. Tune in tomorrow to catch this week's show — we'll bring you all the latest reveals live.
