New Shining Revelry Expansion Coming to Pokemon TCG Pocket This Month

My interest in Pokemon TCG Pocket ebbs and flows, but nothing reignites my passion quite like a new expansion. I dive in headfirst when a fresh set drops, playing religiously to earn those coveted Emblems by securing around 40 wins. Once that's done, my routine shifts to daily logins where I open packs, enjoy a quick Wonder Pick for the fun of it, and then move on until the next day. This cycle is set to repeat with the arrival of the latest expansion, Shining Revelry, on March 27th.

Shining Revelry will inject 110 new cards into the game, featuring an exciting array of new Ex Pokemon, Trainer cards, and the stunning art cards that we've all come to adore. The highlight of this expansion, as hinted by its name, is the introduction of Shiny Pokemon. For those new to the concept, Shiny Pokemon are unique color variants of the beloved creatures. Picture a yellow Lucario instead of its usual blue, or a Pachirisu sporting a stylish pink stripe.

The trailer, which you can view below, teases what's in store for us. A standout addition is the Shiny Charizard Ex, boasting 180 HP and a powerful attack called Steam Artillery that inflicts 150 damage. However, it comes with a hefty cost of five energy. Thankfully, its other move, Stoke, lets you attach three Fire Energy at once, easing the burden.

Another exciting Ex card to look forward to is Lucario. While it played a more supportive role in the Space-Time Smackdown expansion, this new version of the Aura Pokemon is geared up for frontline combat. With 150 HP and the Aura Sphere attack, which deals 100 damage for three Fighting Energy and hits an opponent's Benched Pokemon for 30, it's a force to be reckoned with.

The trailer also showcases other delightful additions, including Shiny versions of Wiglett, Pachirisu, and Varoom, each looking fantastic. Not to be overlooked is the breathtaking Tatsugiri art rare, a card I'm eager to add to my digital collection.
