Sony Previews 40+ Min State of Play Event

Sony has announced a State of Play presentation scheduled for tomorrow, June 4.

In a PlayStation Blog update, Sony Interactive Entertainment content communications manager Tim Turi revealed attendees will receive "news and updates about upcoming must-play PS5 titles." Turi added: "This showcase will feature an exciting lineup of global developers' creations."

The 40-minute presentation begins June 4 at 2pm PT / 5pm ET / 11pm CEST.

While details remain scarce, industry insiders anticipate new reveals regarding Sucker Punch's PS5-exclusive follow-up, Ghost of Yotei, scheduled for October release.

PlaySpeculation suggests potential appearances from Insomniac's Wolverine project or updates from Sony's renowned first-party studios, including God of War's Santa Monica Studio, Days Gone creators Bend Studio, and Guerrilla Games' Horizon multiplayer project.

Sony-acquired Bungie continues developing Marathon, though recent controversies may affect its showcase presence, while Fairgames progresses without former lead Jade Raymond. Last month marked the establishment of PlayStation's new teamLFG studio and their live service incubation title.

The event may also highlight third-party collaborations like Phantom Blade Zero, published under Sony's partnership program.
