Bethesda's Starfield gets a galactic upgrade thanks to a new Creation mod introducing Star Wars lightsabers. The recently released Starfield Creation Kit has unleashed a wave of player-created content, including cosmetic additions, new features, and unique gameplay elements.
Naturally, Starfield's expansive sci-fi setting has inspired numerous Star Wars mods. From simple cosmetic additions like Mandalorian armor to more substantial additions such as AT-ST enemies and iconic blasters, the variety is impressive. One mod even recreates Boba Fett from the canceled Star Wars 1313 game.
The latest addition is the free Immersive Sabers mod by SomberKing, featuring three distinct lightsaber designs: the Combatech Polaris, Old Earth Photonsaber, and the Arboron Novabeam Saber. These lightsabers boast authentic sound effects, customizable beam colors via workbench upgrades, and a new perk enhancing deflection abilities. Enemies will also wield these lightsabers, adding to the immersive experience. The mod creator plans to add three more lightsaber designs in the future, crafted by in-game manufacturers Laredo Firearms, Allied Armaments, and Kore Kinetics.
Immersive Sabers Mod Brings Lightsabers to Starfield
The positive reception to Starfield has been amplified by the release of Creation mod support, along with recent updates introducing city maps and ship customization options. However, Bethesda's paid mod system has drawn criticism, particularly concerning the paywalled conclusion of the Trackers Alliance questline. Despite this, upcoming content like the Shattered Space expansion and a deeper exploration of the House Va'ruun faction promise exciting new experiences for Starfield players.
