HoYoverse has unveiled an exciting new update for *Tears of Themis* titled the Ballad of the Dunes. This update marks a unique collaboration with Gansu Province's Culture & Tourism, bringing the rich heritage of Dunhuang, a historic city on the edge of the Gobi Desert, into the game. The crossover beautifully merges the allure of detective work with the cultural tapestry of this ancient Silk Road city.

What Does Ballad of the Dunes Bring to Tears of Themis?

The Ballad of the Dunes event is a captivating blend of history, romance, and mystery set against the backdrop of the sands of time. Players will find themselves immersed in solving mysteries while enveloped in the ancient vibes of the Silk Road. Here’s what the event brings to *Tears of Themis*:

The event introduces four new MR cards, each featuring Luke, Artem, Vyn, and Marius, styled to reflect different aspects of Dunhuang’s culture. You'll encounter elements like flying apsaras, intricate murals, and the iconic pipa played behind the back, reminiscent of ancient performers found in the Mogao Caves. This digital homage to the cultural melting pot of the Silk Road during the Western Han Dynasty (202 BC–8 AD) is beautifully executed by HoYoverse.

Each card unfolds its own unique narrative: Luke's "In the Footsteps of Silk," Artem's "Serenade of the Soul," Vyn's "Reverberation Through Time," and Marius's "Void of Creation." These cards are not just visually stunning but also come with Private Messages that delve into a journey spanning a thousand years.

What Are the Rewards?

From February 13th to February 20th, 2025, players can earn Camel Bells, S-Chips, and various other rewards by completing event tasks. The primary challenge involves flipping cells on a game board to reveal rewards.

The grand prize in this *Tears of Themis* event is a pack of Ballad of the Dunes MR cards. Players can choose one of the four MR cards as their ultimate reward per round. By successfully flipping 100 cells, players can also earn the exclusive Celebration – Dunes Namecard.
