Umamusume: Pretty Derby English Launch to Offer Uninterrupted Events

The global version of Umamusume: Pretty Derby is almost here. With just 10 days until release, the developers have shared a special announcement detailing some of the features and updates coming to the international edition.

Certain Features Will Be Available Right from the Start in the Global Version of Umamusume: Pretty Derby

Let’s begin with the exciting news. Landscape mode during races and the jukebox function will be accessible from day one. The development team also intends to introduce quality-of-life improvements earlier than they were originally rolled out in Japan.

For instance, the Guided Career feature—which the Japanese version didn’t receive until its fourth anniversary—will be available early. Cross-platform play is also confirmed, allowing you to use the same account across both mobile and PC.

Content Rollout Will Be Accelerated

Although all events and Scout banners from the Japanese version will appear globally, the key difference is the quicker pacing. There won’t be long waiting periods between events or banners like before.

Everything will progress faster—yet each event and banner will still run for the same duration as in the original. That means you won’t need to rush through any particular event, but you also won’t get much downtime in between.

What does this mean for players? If you’ve played JRPGs before, you know the drill. A faster schedule gives you less time to save up in-game currency between limited banners. Free-to-play players may find it more challenging to unlock characters without spending.

Other titles, such as Heavens Burn Red, have addressed this by adjusting global server rewards, but no similar changes have been confirmed here. Fewer dead weeks also means less time to complete daily tasks and gather resources.
