World of Warcraft's Extended Timewalking Extravaganza: Seven Weeks of Turbulent Timeways
World of Warcraft players are in for a treat! The Turbulent Timeways event is back, and this time it's even bigger. For seven consecutive weeks, until February 24th, players can journey through various Timewalking expansions, earning exciting rewards along the way.
This extended event builds upon the successful five-week run from September 2023. Players can once again earn Timewarped Badges, a powerful experience buff, and complete quests and activities within each Timewalking campaign. The key is achieving "Mastery of Timeways" – a 20% experience boost earned after completing four Timewalking dungeons within a week.
The Grand Timewalking Tour:
This year's Turbulent Timeways event covers a broader range of expansions. The schedule is as follows:
- January 7-13: Mists of Pandaria
- January 14-20: Warlords of Draenor
- January 21-27: Legion
- January 28-February 3: Classic
- February 4-10: The Burning Crusade
- February 11-17: Wrath of the Lich King
- February 18-24: Cataclysm
Rewards Galore:
The rewards are plentiful. Players who achieve Mastery of Timeways for five out of the seven weeks will unlock the "Mastery of the Turbulent Timeways 2" achievement, granting the coveted Timely Buzzbee mount. Timewalking vendors across all expansions offer new permanent items, including Season of Discovery transmogs at the Classic vendor. The Sandy Shalewing pet, previously exclusive to the initial Turbulent Timeways event, is also making a return. Furthermore, the weekly Timewalking dungeon quest will now reward Heroic gear during the event's duration.
A Busy Start to 2025:
The conclusion of Turbulent Timeways on February 24th offers a significant clue. Considering Blizzard's typical release schedule and the holiday season, this strongly suggests the launch of World of Warcraft Patch 11.1, "Undermined," on February 25th. This follows the recent 20th-anniversary event (with its 11 weeks of Timewalking), and coincides with the ongoing Plunderstorm event and the upcoming War Within update. World of Warcraft is clearly starting 2025 with a flurry of activity.
