"As a child, there was a love story that captivated me. In the story, an alien came down from space and extravagantly proclaimed her love to an Earthling man. I never imagined that, decades later, I'd be living out that story for myself..."

Meet Akuru Hayahoshi, an otaku office worker with a streak of bad luck, particularly when it comes to her gacha game where she desperately tries to pull her husbando. No matter how much money she spends, her luck just doesn't seem to turn around. That is, until she crosses paths with Ren Furutachi, a stunningly beautiful and incredibly fortunate girl.

A series of hilarious misunderstandings culminate in a surprising proposal, and Ren begins to fervently pursue Akuru. In a twist of fate, Akuru finds herself bringing Ren home in her quest to secure her husbando. Now, they're sharing a house, and to Akuru, who's completely out of her element, Ren might as well be an alien!

Akuru's heart is set on her husbando, while Ren's affection is directed squarely at Akuru, hoping to make her her waifu. Will these two ever find common ground and end up together?
