Application Description

SPIC, short for Simple Play Integrity Checker, is a straightforward Android application designed to demonstrate the implementation and usage of the Play Integrity API, as well as the now-deprecated SafetyNet Attestation API. This app serves as a practical example for developers looking to integrate device integrity checks into their own applications.

With SPIC, users can verify the integrity of their device either locally or by sending the obtained attestation result to a remote server for further validation. This flexibility allows developers to assess device authenticity based on their specific security requirements. Please note that hosting and managing the backend validation service must be handled independently, as no official server is provided.

The entire project is open source, offering full transparency and ease of customization. The Android app's source code, along with the server-side implementation, is publicly available on GitHub for anyone to review, contribute to, or deploy—see herzhenr/SPIC-android and herzhenr/SPIC-server.
