Set in the southern Italian city of Burlone just after World War I, the narrative unfolds amidst the control of three mafia organizations known as the Burlone Mafia. As autumn of 1925 draws to a close, the aftermath of a significant incident in Burlone settles, allowing the protagonist, Liliana, to enjoy a period of peace. However, as 1926 dawns, her newfound tranquility is disrupted once more as she becomes romantically involved and entangled in the mafia's tumultuous world. What challenges lie ahead for the Burlone Mafia as they navigate the changing tides of their era?

Following the unresolved conclusion of the 1925 incident, where the mastermind's fate remained uncertain, Burlone seemed to find a brief respite in 1926. Yet, the calm is short-lived as the city finds itself at the mercy of a new adversary influenced by the government and the church. In a united effort, the Burlone Mafia and the protagonist once again collaborate to tackle the emerging threat, forging a path to resolution.

In the aftermath of the 1925 events, Henri and his love interest escape to France, seeking peace. Their tranquility is disrupted by an incident that compels Henri to return to Burlone. This narrative explores their journey as they navigate the complexities of their love amidst the shadows of the mafia world.
