How to Play 101 Okey Vip Game Without Internet

Okey 101 is a multi-round game played with four players, where the goal is to finish with the lowest possible points. The player with the least points at the end of all rounds emerges as the winner. Points are calculated based on the numbers on the remaining tiles; for instance, a red 3 equals three points, while a black 11 equals eleven points. The game concludes either when no tiles are left to draw or when a player completes their hand.

Getting Started with the Game

The dealer distributes 21 stones to each player and 22 stones to the player on their right. The remaining stones are placed face down on the table, with one stone turned face up to determine the joker (OKEY piece). The game proceeds counterclockwise, starting with the player to the dealer's right who has 22 stones. This player initiates the game by discarding a tile without drawing one. Subsequent players either draw a tile from the deck or pick up the last discarded tile. If a player's series total reaches 101, they can open their hand by placing their arranged series on the table. If unable to play a tile, the player discards one, and their turn ends. Every player must discard a tile to complete their turn, even if they've opened their entire hand.

Joker (Okey Stone or Riziko)

The joker, or Okey stone, changes with each game. Two joker tiles, known as fake jokers, represent the number one higher than the face-up tile. Jokers have a distinctive appearance from other standard pieces. For example, if the indicator piece is a blue 5, the real jokers are the two blue 6s in play, while fake jokers are valued as blue 6.

Deals and Showing Hands

To open a hand, a player must accumulate at least 101 points, with sets consisting of three or four tiles of the same number in different colors (e.g., black 5, red 5, blue 5) or a sequence of the same color (e.g., red 7, 8, 9). A set must contain at least three stones. Players can open their hand and add to existing sets in the same game. If a player picks up a discarded tile, they must use it. If they haven't opened their hand yet, they must do so upon picking up this tile, incorporating it into an opened set. If the tile can't be used to create a set or open a hand, it's returned, and a tile is drawn from the deck without penalty.

Doubles

An alternative way to open the hand is by collecting at least five pairs of tiles. A pair consists of two identical stones. Once a player opens the game with doubles, they cannot open a normal set in the same game but can add to sets opened by other players.
