HOW TO PLAY

Ludo is a classic dice and race game played with four pieces per player and a set of dice. Naija Ludo currently supports two players, each controlling eight pieces across two houses. The objective is to move all eight pieces to the center of the board before your opponent does.

MOVEMENT OF PIECE

The game begins with the player assigned the red house. To start, a piece can only leave the house with a die roll of 6; however, once on the track, any die outcome can move it. Pieces navigate a 56-step track from home to the center of the board. A piece is removed from play either by successfully completing the 56 steps or by capturing an opponent's piece.

PIECE CAPTURE

Capture is a key element of strategy in Ludo. Your piece can capture an opponent's piece by landing on the same block. The captured piece is sent back to its home, while your piece remains on the board. The goal is to capture as many of your opponent's pieces as possible while avoiding being captured yourself. Note that a piece cannot capture if the remaining die outcome cannot be used.

IMPORTANT NOTES

1. A player can roll the dice consecutively if each roll results in a 6.
2. The outcome of a die roll must be played before rolling again, regardless of the result.
3. For a smoother and faster game, navigate to settings and enable DIRECT COUNT.
