Clapperboard enables users to record video using any camera — including CCTV, webcams, action cameras, or built-in drone cameras — and verify the authenticity and authorship of the footage through blockchain technology.

To generate an authentic video using Clapperboard, follow these steps:

  1. Create your own account on Clapperboard and recharge your balance.
  2. Leave a comment describing the video content.
  3. Request a QR code.
  4. Display the QR code clearly in front of the camera while recording.

Once recorded, the generated QR code and comment are permanently stored on the NEM blockchain. You can then retrieve the video from your camera.

To confirm that the video has not been altered and was created after the QR code was generated, upload the portion of the video containing the QR code to the [yyxx] service. Upon successful verification, you will receive a Certificate of Authenticity detailing the video's metadata and timestamp.
