Microsoft's Apology to Jyamma Games Resolves Xbox Release Delays for "Enotria: The Last Song"
Following significant delays in the Xbox certification process, Microsoft has reportedly apologized to Jyamma Games, developer of the upcoming title "Enotria: The Last Song." The apology follows over two months of silence from Microsoft, prompting Jyamma Games to announce an indefinite postponement of the Xbox release earlier this week.
Jyamma Games CEO, Jacky Greco, initially expressed frustration on the game's Discord server, citing Microsoft's lack of response and the substantial investment made in porting the game. However, this situation took a positive turn after Microsoft's intervention.
On Twitter (X), Jyamma Games publicly thanked Phil Spencer and the Xbox team for their swift response and assistance in resolving the issue. They also acknowledged the significant support from the gaming community. The studio is now actively collaborating with Microsoft to expedite the Xbox release.
Greco further elaborated on the Discord server, confirming Microsoft's apology and their commitment to resolving the situation. While the PS5 and PC releases remain scheduled for September 19th, the Xbox release date for "Enotria: The Last Song" is still uncertain. This situation highlights challenges some developers face with Xbox releases, as recently evidenced by Funcom's optimization issues with "Dune: Awakening" on Xbox Series S.
