Lovecraftian Point-and-Click Enigma Coming to Android

In a world brimming with video games, finding a truly unique experience can be challenging. My Father Lied, however, stands out with its compelling narrative. This mystery/Lovecraftian puzzle adventure captivates with its intriguing story, a testament to the passion of its independent developer.

My Father Lied: An Indie Developer's Vision

The game's creation story is fascinating. Ahmed Alameen, the developer, wasn't initially aiming for a career in game development. In 2020, he was establishing himself as a writer and filmmaker. A college friend's suggestion to collaborate on a game led to an ultimately dissolved team and an abandoned project.

Undeterred, Alameen pursued his vision independently. He taught himself 3D modeling and Unreal Engine, bringing his original concept to fruition. Even the game's title was a collaborative effort with his wife.

Unraveling the Mystery: The Game's Narrative

The game plunges players into a captivating mystery steeped in ancient Mesopotamian myths, brimming with secrets, puzzles, and unexpected twists.

Players assume the role of Huda, a young woman grappling with a twenty-year-old question: What happened to her father? The answer, as the story unfolds, proves far more complex than anticipated.

Drawing inspiration from 7000 years of Mesopotamian culture, My Father Lied seamlessly blends ancient lore with modern storytelling. The gameplay features simple point-and-click mechanics, avoiding complicated controls, and boasts stunning 2D visuals and 360-degree imagery.
